Frequently asked questions.
What is Dungeons & Dragons (D&D)?
Dungeons & Dragons is a storytelling game where players create characters and go on adventures together in a fantasy world. One person, called the Dungeon Master (DM), describes what’s happening and guides the story.
Do I need to know the rules before we start?
Nope! We’ll teach you everything you need to know as we play. You just need to bring your imagination.
What do I need to bring?
You’ll need a pencil, some dice (if you have them), and your character sheet. If you don’t have dice or a sheet yet, we’ll provide them.
How long does a session last?
Each game session usually lasts about 2 hours, depending on the adventure and how much fun we’re having!
Can I make my own character?
Yes! You can create your own character, or we can help you make one. There are lots of options — brave fighters, clever wizards, sneaky rogues, and more.
What if I’ve never played before?
That’s totally fine! Many players start with no experience. The game is all about learning, teamwork, and creativity.
Is there fighting in the game?
There can be — but it’s all make-believe! Battles are described like scenes in a story, and players use dice to decide what happens.
What are the rules about behavior?
Everyone should be respectful, kind, and take turns. The most important rule is that everyone has fun together.
What if I can’t come to every session?
No problem! We’ll make sure your character is safe and can rejoin the story when you return.
